Staff Scientist
Tenzing is a Staff Applied Physicist in the Applied Nuclear Physics program. He currently leads projects in the development of free-moving gamma-ray imaging systems for contamination mapping and nuclear safeguards, application of machine learning methods to analysis of gamma-ray spectra, and efforts to transition some of these technologies to end-users.
Prior to joining the staff at LBNL, Tenzing worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the Applied Nuclear Physics Program from 2014-2017. Tenzing performed his doctoral research at the University of California Berkeley and LLNL in the Rare Event Detection group as a Lawrence Scholar.
