Senior Scientist
Program Head
Ren is a Senior Scientist, Head of the Applied Nuclear Physics program, and Deputy Director of the Nuclear Science Division. He currently leads projects in the development of mobile radiation detection and imaging systems, data fusion, networked radiation detection, and the development of novel High Purity Germanium (HPGe) detectors.
Prior to joining LBNL in 2011, Ren was a Postdoctoral Researcher at Oak Ridge National Laboratory where he conducted research into the development of novel point contact HPGe detectors and associated signal processing algorithms.
