Scientific Engineering Associate
Nicholas is currently Scientific Engineering Associate in the Applied Nuclear Physics group at LBNL, contributing on projects related to object detection and tracking, gamma detector response characterization, nuclear physics simulation, and gamma ray imaging.
Prior to joining the group in 2021, Nicholas studied physics at Case Western Reserve University where he gained research experience in a wide range of engineering fields as well as nuclear physics. In addition, he has conducted research at institutions such as national laboratories, including Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, as well as academic settings such as Cornell University and Columbia University. Nicholas spent time after graduation gaining industry engineering experience at various defense contractors, the most recent being Lockheed Martin.
