Department of Electrical Engineering
University of California, Berkeley
Erik Nelson is a robotics Ph.D. student in the department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences at UC Berkeley. He received an M.S. from the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, and a B.S. from the department of Materials Engineering at Cal Poly, SLO. His research brings together robotic perception, exploration, and 3D mapping to enable ground, underwater, and aerial robots to autonomously learn their surrounding environments.
